Murder trial for Zough case delayed over DNA evidence

The Taos County murder trial of the three men linked to Stephen Zough’s death was postponed again due to complex DNA evidence. Prosecutor John Day said court timing shifts extend to late July for motions and possibly October for trial. Defense attorney Hannum criticized DNA as a complicating factor, while Day noted blood evidence in the getaway car remains under review. The defendants were indicted last October on multiple felonies, pleaded not guilty, and will be tried separately.
