Scout Troop 282 gathered Monday night December 14 at their North 7th Street meeting place. Eighteen boys attended with scoutmaster present and they played games and worked on the canoe they are building.

Fishing Corner Reports Bass and White Perch Catches
Weekend weather slowed activity on the lake but anglers reported 1 to 3 lb bass in shallow coves and larger bass in 20 to 25 feet near creeks. White perch were scarce but minnows at 10 to 18 feet yielded some bites. best action varied with depth and area. The Silsbee Bass Club meets December 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Neches National Bank to discuss January tournament.
