Creighton’s Politics 70 Lets Students Campaign Openly
Creighton University and the Student Board of Governors created a credited political science course named Politics 70 to allow students to participate in campaigns while staying enrolled. Students can earn one to three credits by attending symposia and working for a candidate, with absences excused but work made up, and supervision by campaign staff. The program includes post election symposia and is open to all students and the public.

Pine oak spared in Kentucky highway plan change
In northeastern Kentucky a mighty pin oak on Ky 10 near Vanceburg will be saved by redesigning one mile of road instead of building through the tree. The adjusted plans will cost about $9,000. The tree measures 16.2 feet in circumference and would have been within the highway right of way.
