Vacant Lumber Yard Sold To Kokjer Clark Firm
The Cheyenne County Lumber Co. yard in Sidney, unused since 1969, was sold to Emmett Clark of Kokjer Clark Chevrolet Inc. and will be leased back. The Sterling Lumber and Investment Co. of Denver sold it after Arlo Jones arranged negotiations. Clark and Thomas L. Kokjer form a new corporation with a five year Chevrolet franchise. They plan to clear the site and use it for car display on US Route 30, with potential future dealership expansion.

Tractor Upset Tuesday Fatal To Young Farmer
Dennis W. Nelsorf a 27 year old Potter resident was killed Tuesday when the tractor he operated overturned on a farm owned by George D. Larson seven miles south of Potter. He was hauling ensilage and died at the scene according to Cheyenne County Coroner Don Tedesco. Funeral services are set for Friday at 2 pm in the Potter United Methodist Church with burial in Potter Cemetery. The Craig Holechek Funeral Home handles arrangements. He was born September 18 1943 in Sidney to Warren and Betty Mick Nelson. Surviving are his parents a brother Rick of Denver and grandmother Mrs V A Nelson of Potter. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Joan.

Gottschalk Will Head Local Industrial Corp
A new seven member board and officers were elected at Sidney Industrial Corporation’s annual meeting. John Gottschalk was elected to a three year board term and president, with John Mason also joining the board for three years and as secretary. Elected for two year terms were Bob McKay and Bob Decker, the latter becoming vice president, while Bill Vaughn drew a one year term. Gene Lienemann and Ken Pittam joined the board by Chamber of Commerce appointment. Lienemann became treasurer. Nearly seventy percent of shareholders attended or sent proxies. The retiring group included Ed Bauman president and others. The company formed in 1961 and previously headed by Leo Krieger, Ken Noteboom, and Ed Bauman.

Services Held Tuesday For Ben Callies
Benjamin H. Callies 75 died Sept 25 in Chappell. Funeral conducted Tuesday at Four-Square Church Chappell with interment at Pleasant View Cemetery Lodgepole. Surviving are 10 children, 36 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and multiple siblings. He lived in Leigh Venango Lodgepole and Oshkosh before retirement from civil service and farming.

Concert Drive Under Way In Area for Series Memberships
