Sidney Nebraska votes on sewer plant reconstruction plan
The City of Sidney Nebraska proposes a resolution of necessity to reconstruct the sanitary sewage disposal plant with major items including rotary grit remover, primary and secondary clarifiers, trickling filter, Imhoff tank conversion, pump house, water supply, sludge bed expansion, plant bypass interconnections, and perimeter fencing. Special Engineer Robert Fulton estimates costs at 916,775,680. bonds will finance the project with annual taxes and sewer charges to cover debt service. public hearing set for October 3, 1947 with notices to be published in the Sidney Telegraph.
