No Ag Course For Oshkosh Is Likely
Oshkosh may not offer agriculture at GCHS for 1965 66 due to late resignation of Howard Scott and difficulties locating a replacement. Superintendent Floyd Marian says inquiries in five states and 35 placement bureaus have been explored and FPA participation remains possible if a sponsor farmer steps forward. If no teacher is found, ag students will have a schedule rearrangement.

Uni Proposes Land at Sidney Depot for Agricultural Station
The University of Nebraska plans to seek 3 1/2 sections at the Sioux Army Depot near Sidney for a new agricultural experiment station. Dean Elvin Frolik says the proposal will go to the Board of Regents, adding a fourth western Nebraska facility alongside North Platte Scottsbluff and Alliance. The 1965 Legislature allotted $100,000 for a High Plains station at Sidney, while the depot area lies east of the military complex between Sidney and Gurley. The depot core will host a state vocational technical school next year with $150,000 approved for its establishment and operation.
