Potter Days set for September 17 18 feature exhibits free movie parade bands from multiple towns and a 10 30 a m Saturday parade. Medicare Standards Met Here by Memorial Hospital

Leo Bolin administrator at Memorial Hospital Sidney says the hospital is fully accredited and ready to qualify for Medicare. Lincoln meeting notes that only 35 of Nebraska's hospitals are eligible. A nine member governor appointed committee will map Nebraska's Medicare participation and push accreditation.

Dalton School Bid Opening Set For 7 P.M. Thursday

The Dalton school district 91-C board will open bids at 7 p.m. on Thursday Oct 7 for the new addition and renovation work. Bids must follow Hahn Dunn and Gardner plans. Plans may be inspected in North Platte with a $25 deposit to secure drawings.

Band Trip Campaign Sets Fundraisers for Sidney High

Sidney High School band auxiliary outlines a campaign to fund a Rose Bowl trip. A two day seminar on The Art Of Love Marriage and Family Living will be held in Sidney next Monday and Tuesday. Dr. Sylvanus Duvall and Dr. Evelyn Duvall will lecture to adults and teenagers. Gunshot Victim Recovering Well

LaAAPPELL Charles Cozad, 55, is in good condition after a family argument left him wounded Wednesday. He and his wife Alice struggled over a .22 caliber revolver when it fired, striking him in the upper right chest as it exited his back. No charges will be filed, says Deuel County authorities.

Winter wheat crops in good condition across Panhandle area

Most of the 1966 winter wheat crop has been seeded under favorable soil and moisture. Rainy May and June replenished subsoil moisture, aiding deep root systems. Corn and millet mature despite Jack Frost, while dryland feed grain looks strong and hay yields are good. irrigation and water supplies remain ample as sunshine and warmth are awaited.

Hap Arnell dies at 74 prominent Dalton resident

Raymond J. Hap Arnell 74 died Thursday night at Pioneer Memorial Hospital Dalton after two weeks as a patient. Burial will be in Dalton Cemetery beside his wife. He was born August 31 1891 in Stanton Iowa served in World War I and worked as a carpenter at Potter Lumber Yard. He moved to Dalton in 1942 and led the Dalton Coop Society as manager until retirement 15 years ago. He later worked in grain brokerage and lived in Sidney before returning to Dalton nine years ago. He was active in Potter and Dalton communities including Masonic Lodge Legion Post 291 and the Dalton Lions Club. Survivors include a sister and a stepson.

Council Plans Airport Discussion On Monday

The Sidney city council will discuss airport expansion at the next regular meeting Monday night. Kreinbring Rites Tuesday in Holy Trinity Church

William H. Kreinbring 66 died in his room at the Commercial Hotel. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. He was born June 23, 1899 in Dreshler Nebraska and served in World War I. He never married and is survived by three sisters.
