Alliance and Sidney Football Tie in 14 to 14 Battle
Sidney and Alliance high school football teams battled to a 14 to 14 draw on Sidney field before about 400 fans. Sidney scored in the second quarter and Alliance added a late touchdown and a tying score in the fourth. The game featured strong Sidney defense in the first half and big plays from Alliance in the final period. The Box Butte squad, improving late, equaled the score after a long pass and open field run. Both sides showed resilience with no standouts, and Sidney prepares for Bayard next Friday while Morrill County eyes regional honors.
