Post Plans For District Meeting
Final arrangements for the District Veterans of Foreign Wars meeting here November 1 were set Tuesday night at the regular meeting of the Sidney VFW post. Redecoration and remodeling now in progress will be completed by November 1st. Nominations were accepted for vacant offices of junior vice commander, judge advocate, post surgeon, 3-year trustees and 1-year trustee. Election will be held at the regular meeting in November. A report on district affairs and the counsel meeting at Lexington was given by district com pendee Winton Wallin of Kim al Anton Leafdale, 'chairman of the Tricks or Treats Hallowe'en program sponsored by the Sidney post, stated that plans were progressing satisfactorily. He estimated that the number of Sidney children who will participate in the fund raising program for the world's needy children will increase sharply this year.
