Five Elected To ASC Board September 30

Five farmers were elected to serve on the Deuel ASC County Committee with terms ranging from one to three years. Lawrence F. Lehn chairs the group, with Murl Mauser as vice chair, Wilmer Castle as regular member, Gail Schlake and Raymond Peeks as alternates. The election occurred September 30 at the Deuel ASC office, electors chosen as convention delegates. The committee oversees local administration of national farm programs including conservation, wheat and feed grain plans, acreage allotments, marketing quotas, and price-support loans. No fall signup for the 1966 wheat program is expected unless Congress acts on voluntary wheat certificates and a feed grain program, with signups next spring if authorized.
