Long Career Ends for Sidney Bookkeeper Florence Parks Jackson

Florence Parks Jackson, longtime bookkeeper at Thomas Lumber Co and Sidney native, has quit work to travel and visit relatives across the United States. After 14 years at Thomas Lumber and earlier service at Cheyenne County Lumber, she plans rest, chores, and winter trips to Arizona and frequent visits to Denver and Rapid City to see family including Rev. Fred Parks. She is a lifelong Christ Episcopal Church member and King’s Daughters.

Senator Carl T. Curtis pledges support for soil and water conservation while noting 66 Nebraska projects under Small Watersheds Act and 25 installed works. Punt-Pass-Kick Contest Seeks Local Entries

Federal officials begin talks on Sioux property and regional growth

A blue ribbon delegation from the Department of Defense led by Donald F. Bradford arrived in Sidney for talks on economic adjustment after the Sioux Army Depot closing scheduled by June 30 1967. The program includes visits to Dalton Gurley and the Sidney area plus sessions at Sioux Army Depot and municipal buildings.

Death of Herman J. Schubarth in Scottsbluff obituary

Herman J. Schubarth 76 died Sunday evening at West Nebraska General Hospital Scottsbluff after a week there.
