Wheat Prospects Improve Across Nebraska States

State and federal agricultural statistics report shows winter wheat benefiting from moisture, especially in eastern Nebraska where fall moisture was scarce. Panhandle conditions are near 100 percent, with outlook excellent there and good to very good in the Southwest. Central regions show improvement but need more rain. South Central and Southeast Nebraska received one third to three quarters of an inch of rain aiding late wheat emergence. North Platte Valley harvests five to six thousand acres of sugar beets remaining on Nov 15. Lamb feeding may match or exceed last winter statewide, with growth noted in Scottsbluff, and cattle feeding interest rising though totals may not reach last season.
