Locomotive Strikes Car at Union Pacific Crossing
A Chevrolet driven by Roe Dilley of Oshkosh Nebraska was struck by a locomotive at the Union Pacific 13th street crossing early Tuesday. The car and four occupants were carried 26 feet along the tracks before stopping near the sidewalk. Mrs. Dilley suffered head bruises but all others escaped serious injury. Patrolman Lindley investigated and noted no watchman at the crossing. The locomotive halted abruptly as it was not hauling cars. The Dilleys were returning from a visit at Sioux Ordnance Depot with brother Joe Dilley.

John Deere Manager Severely Injured in Machinery Accident

The low hanging center section struck his hip and leg rupturing muscles. He was treated by Dr Grimm and sent home, expected to miss about ten days of work.
