Two-Thirds Of New Nebraska Laws Into Effect Thursday
Two-thirds of the 1965 Nebraska Legislature bills become law Thursday, with 584 enacted this year and 34.4 percent carrying emergency clauses. Highlights include creation of a State trade School and an agricultural research center on Sioux Army Depot property, plus new rules on taxes, labeling of imported meat, vehicle tires, and public safety measures. The laws cover ranges from agriculture to public order, and several key measures without emergency clauses go into effect later or upon referendum.
