Maroons Win in Armistice Day Classic Shutout
Sidney's football team rolled Tuesday in the Armistice Day classic, defeating Chappell 13 to 0. Captain Bob Stegeman scored from the two yard line, Doyle Butts added the extra point, and Junior Seevers connected with Wayne Buehrer on the final play for the clinching score. Chappell challenged with two goal line stands but could not cross the line. The win improves the Maroons as they close the 1947 season with a second win in two weeks, ahead of a final game against Kimball at home.
