WNTC Starts Season Under New Coach Dennis Hicks
The Western Nebraska Technical College Mustangs, 10-10 last season, open next Friday on the road versus McCook. Dennis Hicks, from Platte Valley High School in Colorado, leads the squad in the Southern Division of the Empire Conference with Nor theastern JC, McCook JC, Lamar and Trinidad JC. A division tournament ends the regular season, with the top two advancing to regional playoffs. After four weeks of practice, Hicks aims to develop all ten players to contribute.
