Mrs Fairbanks 68 Dies After Lengthy Illness
Mrs Mary Fairbanks aged 68 died Thursday morning in Memorial Hospital after months of declining health. Funeral services are set for Monday at 2 p.m. at Gehrig and Son, with Rev C E Brittain officiating. Burial will be in Lodgepole Cemetery. Born June 24 1890 in Lodgepole she was daughter of Moses and Gertrude Swift. She married Ernest E Fairbanks May 15 1920 in Douglas Wyoming and had lived in Hastings Scottsbluff before moving to Sidney in 1958 for hospital treatment. Survivors include half-brother C Swift of Crofton Neb and cousins including Judge C W Smith of Sidney.

Herman Blanke 75 retired farmer was found dead Thursday at his home 1432 Illinois St by his son Edwin of Sidney. Officials believe a heart attack caused the death. He was born May 26 1883 in Fillmore County Neb. Police Fail Death by Own Action at City Jail
Weldon Zimmerman, a Sidney man in protective custody, attempted to hang himself with his coat at about 11 30 pm in the city jail. He had head injuries from an oil rig accident months earlier and reportedly attempted suicide before. He will be examined by a health board to decide if commitment to a mental institution is warranted. He is married with one daughter.

State Oil Output Rises In March For Nebraska
Nebraska's March oil production reached 1,738,654 barrels after tax collection, higher than February's 1,650,808 and last year's 1,519,189.
