The Board of Educational Lands and Funds under Chapter 72 approves a new valuation schedule for all school lands in Cheyenne County. The reclassification, with lease valuations and semi annual rentals, is filed with the County Treasurer and to take effect July 1, 1956. Robert D. Hiatt, Secretary.
In Cheyenne County Nebraska a March 15 1956 petition asks probate of the Last Will and Testament of Thomas J. Smith a Denver Colorado resident who died November 10 1952. It lists numerous oil and gas leases and requests a decree freeing the estate from debts and for estate assignment with hearing set March 31 1956.

The city of Sidney Nebraska invites bids for a roofing project including insulation, asphalt, and felt layers with four 15 pound units, 50 pound top coat, and 175 pounds Insul Rock per 100 sq ft. Engineer’s estimate is 3600 dollars. Bids open March 26 1956 at 7 30 PM in the Council Rooms. A 100 percent performance bond and a 10 percent certified check are required. The city reserves the right to reject bids.
