Jack H. Lowe editor and co publisher of The Telegraph is named a Nebraska Good Neighbor by Ak Sar Ben for unselfish civic work. The Sidney native has led efforts for the Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital and served on the city council and as mayor. Eight Nebraskans in total were cited with formal presentations planned during the year.

Flames Destroy Farm Dwelling on Carl Olson Farm
A small building on the Carl Olson farm two miles west and one and a half miles south of Sidney burned to the ground. The cause is unknown. A Spanish American family resided there and fire spread to a corral and straw. Firemen and workers laid a fireguard to halt the blaze.

Daltonite Named On Theft Charge
Ger ald Reinmuth, 23, of Dalton, charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle. He is accused of stealing a battery from an automobile owned by August Thies of Potter. The car was in Thies' garage. Reinmuth gave a statement to lawmen at Gering and is to be returned to Sidney for arraignment in county court.
