Cloud Seeding Aims For Controlled Weather Changes
The article discusses weather modification, noting small changes can aid precipitation or reduce hail. Estimated gains include over $100,000 yearly from 5 percent hail reduction in three northeastern Colorado counties and nearly $1 million from a 10 percent rise in summer precipitation valued at $5 per acre foot. Early shotgun methods gave way to rifle approaches with precise, controlled measurements. Modern science has advanced beyond previous limits, enabling feasible, targeted studies.

Wheat Growers Back Bill Aimed at Nebraska Wheat Income
OGALLALA Nebraska Wheat Growers Association backs the Purcell Callan bill to boost annual wheat income by at least 12.5 million dollars and raise domestic food use wheat to 2 50 per bushel. Wayne Allen McCook president says the measure would be considered soon and would take effect for the 1966 crop if passed. The bill proposes 250 cent export certificates and would require at least 500 million export bushels annually. The association says Nebraskans must seek a fair price for wheat to bolster the state economy and plan cropping with permanent legislation. The NWGA board endorsed the bill at its Ogallala meeting.
