No Injuries In Accidents In Sidney This Weekend
Weekend car crashes in Sidney caused only property damage with no injuries. At 2 28 p.m. Saturday at 9th and Illinois a 1963 Ford driven by Joseph Kubes collided with a westbound Utah car as he turned left, $75 and $50 damages. A 1955 Plymouth driven by Wanda Anderson and a 1960 Chevrolet driven by Pamela Schmitt collided at 19th and Maple Sunday, $75 and $150 damages. At 11 10 a.m. Saturday on Illinois between 9th and 10th, a 1956 Ford driven by Terrill Spiker and a 1949 Plymouth driven by Alfred E. Lee incurred $75 and $10 damages.

At its regular meeting tonight Sidney City Council will consider the resignation of R. W. Brown from the Library Board. Brownie Brown, Bookmobile operator for two years and a five year board member, will be away for the summer taking library courses at Denver University, and says he cannot fully perform duties. The board faces a busy summer with the construction of a new library building. The agenda includes hearings on a package liquor license replacement, zoning change, building licenses, and Brown’s resignation.

Bowlers Car Strikes Cow Near McCook
Four women bowlers from Sidney escaped serious injury after a car struck a black Angus cow on a highway about 10 miles north of McCook. The 1963 Oldsmobile, driven by Mrs. Ed Haupt, overturned but landed upright. All four women sustained minor injuries and continued to participate in a bowling tournament in Spite.
