Hand That Guides The Plow Determines Natural Balance
Lincoln Nebr. M O Steen, Game Commission director, explains that every plant and animal has a fixed relation within its ecosystem. Plowing under grasses to plant cash crops disrupts soil bacteria and earthworms, altering the balance and inviting pests. Proper land stewardship lets farmers balance crops with desirable wildlife, while the plow hand shapes the environment.
