Social Security starts benefits for disabled workers August
More than 100000 severely disabled people nationwide will begin receiving social security disability insurance checks in August. Claire W. Schuneman, district manager of the Scottsbluff office, urges eligible workers aged 50 to 65 to apply by June 30 or risk losing benefits. To qualify, a disability must last at least six months and prevent substantial gainful activity, based on medical evidence and individual circumstances.
