Granddaughter of ambassador cited as “not so secret weapon”

A Nebraska editorial examines the failure of the Cornhusker Education Corp petition drive to place a compulsory school redistricting amendment on the November ballot. It argues voters prefer voluntary district reorganization and a fair tax base, noting opposition from state education leaders and the public’s skepticism of a statewide mandate. The piece urges promoting voluntary reform and a supportive tax climate instead of pursuing coercive measures.
