Anderson cites Colorado sugar beets as vital to national sugar supply

Speaking at a KLZ banquet in Denver on January 10 Secretary of Agriculture Clinton P. Anderson told a Colorado audience that sugar beets are perhaps the most significant Colorado product from a national view. He noted that in 1946 the nation will need all the sugar it can obtain from all sources and that Colorado, as the largest beet producer, is looked to to help fill the nation’s sugar bowls.
