Rotary In A8th Year Rotary In A8th Year

Sidney marked the 48th anniversary of Rotary in Hazel's Cafe with 80 members of the Rotary Club of Sidney joining 7,600 clubs in 84 countries. President Carl Christ outlined Rotary's ideals of service, fellowship, and international understanding, noting growth to about 365,000 members in 7,600 clubs and detailing the Rotary Foundation fellowships for graduate study abroad. The club’s local projects include School Citizenship awards funded by savings bonds for Sidney high school students.

Scout Troop 89 Parents Night Recap First Class Pins Awarded

Scout Troop 89 held its second parents night on Wednesday February 18 with thirty seven guests. Myron Seveland explained camping plans to Black Hills as Dean Neeman led the Court of Honor. Larry Loebe directed opening, Dick Durbin led group singing, and prizes for ticket sales went to Larry Loebe Larry Braasch and Wally Namath.
