Antelope schoolhouse dance draws regional crowds
Invitations went out from Antelope boys for a Friday dance that brought parties from Archer Hillsdale and surrounding ranches within thirty miles. The event ran from evening until near daybreak with music by Mrs. Madison and Mr Fitzgerald, a supper at J J Ferrin’s, and smooth arrangements overseen by Mrs Ferrin. Cattle losses on the railroad are down from last winter, with fewer cattle drifting along the South river. Mrs Lieut Goodwin endured a fall while being driven home, slipping from a moving vehicle with no serious injuries aside from a week of bed rest.
