Kimball County added its sixth field discovery of the year as Chandler & Simpson completed the No 1-B Farrell Farms sand producer twelve miles south of Kimball. Daily Nebraskan oil output stayed above 59,000 barrels at 59,092. No. 2 Cizek in the Marfin Field north of Potter and a No 1 Cond in Barrett, Field showed drilling activity, while others await rigs.

Watch Your Speed Rural Road Limit At 50 Miles
Gov Ralph Brooks signed a law setting a fifty mile per hour limit on all non surfaced rural roads off the state highway system. The bill took effect immediately and state patrols were boosted at many points including Sidney to enforce the limit. Daytime speeds on surfaced main routes remain 65 mph and 55 mph at night.

2000 County Motorists Still Lack Registrations
Nearly a quarter of Cheyenne County motorists have not obtained their 1959 motor vehicle certificates or plates. With a February 28 deadline and only four more courthouse days, about 2,000 motorists remain uncertified. Enforcement will begin at midnight Saturday. no extensions have been granted in recent years.

Weatherman Promises Relief Snow Recorded On 48 Days
The Scottsbluff weather bureau reports snow on 48 days since last November with eight days in November, 13 in December, 15 in January and 12 in February. Despite slick streets and some subzero readings, traffic stayed flowing and livestock fared well. Near normal temperatures and average precipitation are forecast through mid March with a chance of light snow early next week.
