Urban Trend Obvious In Legislature
Nebraska lawmakers show a near even split between urban and rural interests with 25 urban and 24 rural based on residence and profession. Douglas county is most urban, Lancaster county leans urban, and many out state members have town tied jobs. Sixteen farmers and ranchers are the largest professional group, with lawyers and real estate prominent elsewhere. This blend forms bridges between urban and rural blocs, with no dominant urban or rural bloc evident in most issues. Stir a little bottled horseradish into canned applesauce as a quick accompaniment for roast turkey or chicken.
