City Manager George Selsch said federal title requests by Nebraska for vo tech facilities and an agricultural research station at Sioux Army Depot have cleared major agencies and should reach state authorities soon. The vo-tech school will receive federal personal property valued at 836000 with the ag station at 92000, not counting real estate. Col Cyril Williams said approvals are near and ownership details, including utilities, remain to be settled. The Panhandle forecast predicts fair, mild tonight with increasing clouds, turning colder Tuesday, highs about 50, lows in the 20s.

Family nearly asphyxiated by carbon dioxide
The Allen McGee family nearly died from carbon dioxide poisoning after a space heater pipe separated at the joint. A cold windy night with the heater running and no windows opened left Mrs. McGee and her children Tammy and Troy with severe headaches and nausea. Flight Gains OK For Nebraska Centennal Flight
Washington reports the Civil Aeronautics Board approved a February 22 flight from North Platte to Omaha reenacting the first night air mail run. The Brunner-Winkle Bird bi plane will carry philatelic mail without government pay. Pilot H N Qusty Rhodes of Sidney will operate the flight, which marks Nebraska's 100th birthday celebrations. The aircraft is based at Sidney Airport after Rhodes bought it in Chicago and brought it back to Nebraska.
