Two Fire Calls Reported Thursday in Sidney
Sidney volunteer firemen were called out twice on Thursday. A passing motorist reported a weed fire west of Sidney by the Sioux Army Depot overpass, but firefighters found a section gang burning weeds on the Union Pacific right of way. At 10:45 p.m. Fred Kloberdanz reported his car on fire, grease on the transmission was blazing, with damage not estimated but not believed to be great.
