Loans rose 3.3 million in real estate and 12.2 million in business while agricultural loans fell. Banks funded demand by liquidating 38.7 million in Treasuries and 3.8 million in other investments, with a 6.7 million cash balance drop. Six presidents of the United States were National Guardsmen.
