At 4 14 p m yesterday a new ten cylinder Nordberg engine at the Sidney Municipal Power Plant turned over marking a major step in a 700 000 expansion financed by revenue bonds It will undergo extensive testing for about a week before going on line The upgrade raises capacity from 4925 to 4950 kilowatts and ends fears of a power shortage for the foreseeable future.

Gregory Dudney two year old son of Mr and Mrs LaVerne Dudney of Kimball was admitted to Kimball County Hospital last Thursday as the seventeenth polio patient since Aug 11.

McMillen, district manager for Ohio Oil Co in Sidney, named one of 23 Silver Award winners in Missouri Iowa and Nebraska by the Oil Industry Information Committee. Leech Assigned To Indo China Post
Col Robert C Leech executive officer at Sioux Ordnance Depot has been assigned to Saigon in the Far East. He and his wife Harriott and two children depart January 2 for the west coast and he sails January 7. He will join the Military Assistance Group to teach use and application of equipment supplied by the United States to Indo China. The Leech family has resided at Sioux for a year and a half.
