The Rangely oil field in Colorado, the largest Rocky Mountain producer, will be operated as a single unit by one company. All holders will share production per their holdings, with projected output of 30 to 80 million barrels and gas reinjected to boost recovery. Discovered 1934, it has produced 200 million barrels with an estimated 175 to 200 million more to come.

Board to interview applicants for county treasurer post
Cheyenne County Commissioners will consider applicants Saturday afternoon after the death of Treasurer Herb Stevens of Potter. The 2 p.m. session in the courthouse commissioners room may appoint a successor to serve until the 1958 general election. City Favored In Underpass Judgment Suit
The Cheyenne County District Court ruled for the City of Sidney in a $10,000 suit by George and Mollie Backer over 13th Ave underpass. The jury found no damages to the Backers property and noted concrete paving and a sidewalk were provided at no cost. Three cases have now settled as other property owners accepted city offers.
