Six 4-H Girls Qualify For Nebraska State Fair
Six 4-H girls earned eligibility to compete at the Nebraska State Fair in early September after judges in Cheyenne County Fair divisions. Janice Anderson led with top honors in Style Review and blue ribbons in Song Identification and foods, with several named peers earning blue, red, and honorable mention awards across wardrobe, demonstrations, sewing, and cooking contests.

Keen Livestock Competition Sets State Team Picks
The Cheyenne County Fair 4 H entries showcased strong effort with champions named in each class rather than one overall Grand Champion. Judging teams include Delbert Lessman I D Meyers Russell Meyers and Bob Crabb Virgil Horst Dolores Hokom for Dairy judging and Animal Husbandry squads. Awards covered baby beef dairy cattle swine sheep poultry rabbits and more with numerous blue ribbons and several junior champions.

Reserve Champion to a Cheyenne sample by Arthur Borcher, Dalton red, Charles Carlson and Bob Crabb white.
