Frye Services Held for Howard Frye Jr in Mitchell
Final rites were held at Fisher Mortuary in Mitchell for Howard Kinsey Frye Jr. 30 known as Howdy. The Episcopal officiant Rev. Mark McCallum, a former newspaper man from Columbus, Neb., led the service. Burial follows at Fairmount Mausoleum in Denver. Frye, a registered pharmacist educated at the University of Nebraska, died from injuries after a midget auto racer crash at the Cheyenne County Fair. He is survived by his parents Mr and Mrs Howard Frye Sr, a Mitchell sister Mrs Ralph Petzold, a grandmother Mrs Celista Frye of Galesburg Illinois, and nephew Ralph Pea Jr. and niece Joan Kay Petzold.

John Swain Dies In Plane Mishap Near Winter Park
Two men died when their light plane crashed into a mountainside near Winter Park Colorado. Victims were Harvey E. Schaeffer 39 Sheridan Wyoming the pilot and John H. Swain 38 Billings Montana. Swain born Sidney son of Howard A. Swain survivors include his mother now in Los Angeles and a brother Bill of Billings.
