Ghost Town Holds Homecoming in a Garnettsville Graveyard
In Meade County Kentucky a yearly Garnettsville homecoming returns 150 former residents to the town cemetery near Otter Creek. Attendees recall churches, schools, a gristmill and a textile mill, while relatives and old friends are remembered. Most visitors come from nearby cities with one guest traveling from Birmingham. The cemetery is maintained by the Garnettsville Cemetery Association with Earl Lewis as treasurer and caretaker.

Unusual New Jersey Moving Permit Law
In MAYHOOD New Jersey residents must obtain a borough moving permit before moving or relocating within the town. No permit issued until all taxes are paid. Police stop moving vans to verify. Since 1949 the rule reduced moves by townsfolk with unpaid personal taxes. A $50 fine is provided by the ordinance.

County Commissioners Meet to Audit County Claims
