Omaha Man Killed Near Chappell in Sunday Crash
Nebraska toll of traffic fatalities rose to 204 this year with Cheyenne and Deuel counties reporting multiple deaths. Albert Marshall, 67, of Omaha, chief engineer at Omaha County Hospital, died after a 1947 Mercury left the road near Chappell. His passengers sustained injuries, and the car sustained extensive damage. Other incidents included a rollover near Sidney, a sideswipe near Bushnell, and a two-vehicle crash north of Dalton. Cheese freight also wrecked in Sidney.

Ohio Oil reports a strong initial drill stem test at the Beyer No. 1 wildcat west of Huntsman field with 2 170 feet of oil recovered from 4 782 to 4 809 feet and sand topped at 4 789 feet. An estimated 50 to 75 purebred cattle are to enter the 1952 Cheyenne County Fair cattle show under the Nebraska Panhandle Hereford Association. If realized, it would be the largest in history. Trophies include a permanent Grand Champion Hereford Bull prize and a Champion of all Breeds award, with a $10 grain elevator prize for the best Angus Bull.
