Plans are underway for the 27th annual Lodgepole Old Settlers Picnic to be held on Labor Day September 3. At a recent meeting officials and committees were named with ALba Willard Vance and Ralph Parleton as co-chairmen and A. J. Lind as secretary treasurer.
The notices announce a Parole and Commutation hearing for Denuta Bard in Cheyenne County on April 26, 1950, with the Board of Pardons setting a hearing for September 12, 1951, at the State Penitentiary Lincoln. Also included is an order to show cause in Cheyenne County District Court regarding Agnés Ladine guardian seeking leave to sell minors real estate in Sidney and a Gurley City Schools bid invitation for Gurley High School building construction with plans, deposits, bonds, and bid procedures.
