Wheat field sampling to estimate production across regions

Figures will be recorded on special forms and studied later. The representative will return to the plot for several more visits during the growing season. After harvest he will pick up every kernel left on the ground to measure unharvested wheat. Nichols says careful studies on sample fields will enable wheat production estimates by visits to a prescribed number of fields. Results are encouraging and training schools prepare farmers to count fields with supervisors.
