Soil Testing Facilities At State University Enlarged
The University of Nebraska expanded its soil testing laboratory to handle up to 10 000 samples, adding three machines including a colorimeter and acidity tester. The program, run by the agronomy department and extension service, will test texture, structure, organic matter, acidity, lime, soluble phosphorus and exchangeable potash. Fees of $1 per sample will cover labor and materials.

Two Damage Suits Dismissed In Court
Two damage actions filed July 2 1948 by Benford L Birdwell and Alva Birdwell against JC Gillespie et al were dismissed by the clerk last week. Each suit sought 7085 dollars over a September 3 1947 accident in which Birdwell driving a tractor pulling a drill collided with Gillespie in a Lincoln Zephyr. The plaintiffs claimed Birdwell was seriously injured and the drill demolished.

Busy Fingers 4-H Club met with Dorothy Ring and Betty Ann Ringleman on March 29. They judged measuring cups and types for accurate ingredient measurements.
