Sidney plans new swimming pool with stock drive
Subscribing shareholders and others met at the courthouse to discuss early construction of a recreation pool in Sidney. More than $3,000 had been raised from stock sales with $25 per unit, and capital of $6,000 is planned though not all needed now. The concrete pool will be 50 by 100 feet, fully emptiable, fenced, lifeguarded, and possibly roofed as demand grows. Officers and directors were chosen and work to begin immediately.

Charles Green of Green Water Production reports progress on the Bushnell artesian well for the Kimball Irrigation district. The 20 foot well is about 11 feet deep with a concrete curb, drill holes reach 125 feet, and a pump test on April 8 shows water level drops then stabilizes about 3 feet 4 inches below top raise, proving adequate water. Gambling Roundup: Four Arrested in North Shack Raid
A round-up of an alleged gambling game staged in a shack ten miles north of town led to several arrests. James Perkins and Axel Freeburg pleaded guilty to gambling before Judge J. L.
