Two Directors Named For Safety Council
Isabella County Safety Council adds Lyle Rhynard of Shepherd and James Barr superintendent of Blanchard Public Schools to the board at the May 27 meeting. The council also notes no participation in the state vehicle safety check program this year though local garages offer free checks with wind shield stickers. Additional items include safety outreach by Trooper Oaks, exhibits by State Police and Michigan Sheriff’s Association, water safety films, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation demonstration, and warnings about a hazardous pavement drop by the Sheriff’s Department. National Safe Boating Week and National Farm Safety Week are noted with driver safety classes scheduled July 7 14 21 28.
