The Isabella County Board of Supervisors held its May 12 1964 meeting at the Court House in Mt. Pleasant convening at 9 30 A M. and approving April minutes, hearing reports from committees on purchasing claims and accounts and discussing ambulance damage and boiler insurance. The afternoon session continued with bids and building committee reports, preparation for a July 4th bell ringing program, and plans to attend the 4th District Association meeting in Gladwin.
Strickland News lists visits and dinners among local families including Mrs. Forrest Nowland calling on Mrs. Alex Fox, Mrs. Frank Morrison with her sister, and Mrs. Carl Dickinson hosting the Extension Study group. A daughter Susan Annette was born to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Loomis at Gratiot Community Hospital. Numerous relatives visited, attended Vestaburg High School graduation, and hosted gatherings at homes and in Alma and Lake City areas.
