Coe Township Library Expands Facilities
The Coe Township Library reports rising use and has more than doubled shelf space with Gould Drug providing shelving at no cost after remodeling. Labor was donated by Claude Stump as Miss Elsa Struble and Pleasant Librarian, head of the Coe Township Library, note totals of 3 532 books checked out across Williams and Cohoon Schools, St Vincent de Paul, and Coe Township Library with Mt Pleasant Library access enhancing totals.

Tigers Win Fourth Straight Little League Title at PTA
Shepherd Life League champions the Tigers were honored at a Shepherd High School PTA meeting in the cafeteria. Jaycees Robert Garber Jr and Kim Swenson presented a traveling trophy engraved with the winning team’s name. Co-managers Robert Edmonds and Robert Garber accepted. The Tigers, managed by Gene Ross and Edmonds, posted 21 wins and 2 losses that season, with just five league losses over three years.
