Kingman Family Vacation and Local Visits
Mr and Mrs Robert Kingman returned from a Florida holiday then Geo Whitehead cared for barn duties. Visitors at the Howard Johnson home included Mr and Mrs Kingman and Hazel and Retha Thomas. Hugh Thomas has been a patient at Wilcox Hospital in Alma for three weeks and plans to return home soon. Retha will resume duties at Flint City Schools in a few days after Christmas break. Mrs Ernestine Johnson’s birthday was noted on Sunday February 2 with visits from Mrs Jean Smoder and family, then Mrs Jennie Pyle and son La Dogt of Elwell area and Mr and Mrs Carl Becker with cake and treats. Mrs Myrtle Johnson Dunkle, longtime resident, died January 25 at Community Hospital Alma. funeral January 28 with burial at Wright Cemetery, Pine River Township. She is survived by son Maynard Johnson and grandchildren.
