Isabella County Republicans met at the Mt Pleasant courthouse to select delegates for the state convention and adopt resolutions praising Governor Romney and honoring General Douglas MacArthur. They criticized the Democrats for civil rights delay and named delegates for Grand Rapids on May 9. Little Leaguers Sign Their 64 Contracts at Coe Center
More than eighty youngsters attended the Coe Township Community Center sign-up last Saturday afternoon to join Little League. Ina Mae Philo and Marilyn Swagger registered the players while Paul Warmbrunn and Jack Deny collected the fees. Most seem to be infielders but pitchers and catchers are expected as teams form and the season starts when school ends. Spring Training is underway.
