Warning Issued On Swimming In Kern River
Sheriff LeRoy F Galven joins Kern County Safety Council to warn the public that the Kern River is extremely dangerous between May and September. The swift river through the canyon changes quickly with undercurrents that have killed many over the years. Rescue operations have already been needed at several river sections this year.
