Residential Building Spree Expands in Shafter Area
Local men spearhead a housing boom east of the tracks as new homes rise from the former vacant spud sheds area. Richland Schools Stage All Day Rededication Week Program
Richland schools marked Rededication Week proclaimed March 3 to 10 with a morning flag ceremony, band, glee club and Freedom Pledge. Seventh and eighth graders presented a play The Freedom Train while 900 primary students sang and did a flag drill. Intermediate students closed the day with a similar program. Jerry Dean Holmes celebrates his eighth birthday with family and friends in North Shafter.
