Twenty six Shafter racing horses in training at Del Mar will arrive at Santa Anita next Monday for a two week workout before the Santa Anita Harness Races opening April 2. Margareta Neufeld died Tuesday morning March 9 at Reedley Hospital. Born June 22, 1875 in Russia, she was a former Shafter and Wasco resident. Services Sunday March 14 at 2 00 pm at a Mennonite Church in Shafter, Rev John Bartel presiding, burial in Shafter. Survived by two sons John of Pasadena Nick of Wasco and daughter Mrs Margaret Williams of Woodland Washington, one sister Anna Neufeld of North Hollywood, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
